Most popular behind the 9mm Luger is the .45 ACP for law enforcement (F.B.I., deputy sheriff, state police, etc.) and civilians alike.

Most Americans currently prefer the 9mm Luger, but I believe weapon choice is cyclical. Millions of Americans carry .45 ACP because of the versatility of the gun sizes available.

The evolution of the 1911 (Pistol M1911) has taken us beyond the world famous M1911 to weapons such as the Glock 21, Glock 41 or Springfield Loaded. All 3 weapons are incredible, but not all 3 weapons are equal.

Glock Vs. Smith And Wesson M&p Pistol

The Glock 21 comes in two different models (the Glock 21 Gen 4 and the Glock 21SF) with minor differences between the two models. The Glock 21 Short Frame (SF) has the same specifications as the original Glock 21 except for draw length (LOP).

The Glock 21SF has a shorter LOP to allow shooters with smaller hands to better handle the full-sized Glock .45 ACP caliber.

The Glock 21SF was originally designed for junior officers who prefer a heavier bullet than the 9mm.

The biggest difference between the two pistols is the width from the trigger grip to the back of the grip. The grip bead of the G21SF is 4mm shorter than the G21 and 2.5mm shorter on the grip from trigger to backstrap.

The big advantage of the SF model is that you get a better grip on the gun, which gives you more control over the recoil, which improves the accuracy of your follow-up shots.

As far as I know, Glock has discontinued the Glock 21, along with the original Glock 20, 29, and G30 models, but not the SF models.

I think this became an issue where many photographers struggled too much with the larger grip of the original G21. My 2 best friends are almost twice my size and still prefer shooting Glock SF models over regular larger caliber Glocks.

That's the kind of durability you need to compete with the big dogs in gun accessories, and We The People Holsters does it well enough to earn our support.

Since the Glock 21SF is more of a LEO pistol, the holster you use should have a decent retention system to prevent an attacker from ripping your pistol out of the holster. The Bureau Rechtsbijstand (BJA) is the biggest concern, according to a national survey among police officers
